Final. Very hard fought ball game. Mason County is much improved and played a tough game. Prayers for Fleming County's Zac Alexander. He hurt his knee early in the game and was on crutches in the 2nd half.

Mason County is much improved! They hit a long pass and then converted a fumble on a kick return to a quick score. Overall, it was a fast game. Fleming County went to the run game quite a bit. I think both teams only had around 6 or 7 possessions.

Losing Zac Alexander seemed to take some steam out of them as well.

Most definitely. Easily their best player.

I was surprised that the Royals kept it as close. This squad has vastly improved from the Jonathan-Thomas led teams of years' past.

 

Mason County will make some noise this year in the playoffs.

Mason had 4th and goal at the 2 yard line. Starting QB gets cramps so backup QB came in. Not sure why Coach didn't call a TO there to try to get his starting QB back in. But backup QB couldn't connect a pass to an open receiver in the end zone. Fleming takes the ball and marches down for winning score. Overall good ball game from both teams.

 

Depth will be an issue for MC all year. LOTS of players playing both ways and lots of cramping issues cost players PT during the game.
