In week zero Doss routed an outmanned Jeffersontown team 42-0, while South Oldham stumbled out of the gate losing to 2A defending Champ Christian Academy of Louisville 28-14.

Doss will get their first test after routing North Bullitt in a scrimmage and J-town in week zero. South Oldham had trouble with 2A CAL, how will they rebound vs Doss and all their college prospects?

QB Drew Zaubi took to twitter to thank the fans for the support at CAL and promised a win this week at home. Can Zaubi back that up after a tough outing where he didn't complete a pass until the 4th quarter and threw 2 picks.

In this one I will pick the Dragons :lol2:, who do you think will win?

That's a great opening PeteW. Could not agree more -- the Dragons will prevail!

While South Oldham stumbled out of the gate, I believe youth (and a very good CAL team!) had something to do with it. On offense South had a number of Sophomores in there and mistakes were to be expected. Missed blocking assignments, dropped passes (one pick went through the receivers hands, bounced off his helmet and intercepted), and they just seemed out of sync. I thought South started playing better later in the second half and did not quit. The defense is also young, made some good plays and will improve with time.Something to build on from there. Coach Reed and his staff, I believe, will make the adjustments necessary. With a group this young it will take time to get to where they want to be by seasons end. That was a game where they all learned a lot.

Doss, as you said, has had a few easy games but that is ok. They have plenty of talent and looked good. Their running game looks solid and threw the ball well. The defense has several playmakers in the front seven. South has had their number the last two years but last season went down to the wire. I look forward to a good game at Dragon Stadium!

This should be a great game. S Oldham is well coached and has some great kids. This game is big for both teams and I am sure the kids will play at their highest level. Playing Coach Reed and his kids is an important part of the growth for our kids. Win or lose, Doss kids will grow from it.

Looking forward to a good game Friday night. I am sure both teams will benefit from the game. It's not where you start the season it's where you finish and what you learned along the way!

Is there video for this game?

Will it be archived for future viewing?

I know South does a very good job with this!

Yes. Pegasussportsky.com will be broadcasting the game. You can always go on their site and see the games they broadcast.

Bobcat,

Thanks for this! Do you know if I can watch an archive version of it on Saturday?

In the past it has always been up the next day.

First off, many thanks for the compliment! We are glad you feel we do a good job with the broadcasts!

Pegasus will, indeed, be covering this game. We're spread a little thin Friday as we will be broadcasting both the in-county rivalry game between North Oldham and South Oldham and the big 5A clash between two pre-season ranked teams, South Oldham and Doss (Dragons vs. Dragons).

Our live video broadcast will begin at 7 pm, but the game will be archived and available for later viewing immediately after the game - and indefinitely. So - view it live, view it right after the game, view it Saturday - view it next year - it'll still be out there on our website. To view an archive, simply go to The Pegasus Sports Network - PSN, click on one of the school logos, then - on the broadcast page, scroll down to the game icons and search for the South vs. Doss game icon. Double click and enjoy!

As I said, we'll be a tad thin, running two broadcast crews. Ed Howard - who normally is one of our color commentators - will be trying his hand at play-by-play for just the second or third time, and he'll be joined in the booth by Tom Hawkins. Both are former coaches who love the game and the kids.

NOTE: As we have two games being broadcast, only one will show up on the "TV screen" as the "default" broadcast - and that will be the Oldham-North Oldham game. To watch South vs. Doss, scroll down just a bit and find the game icon, and click it.

Should be a barnburner!
