Be interesting, how did Russell do in their scrimmage game against wheelersburg or is that Saturday night? Greenup has mutiple small backs that hide behind their line and run well. That said Lewis probably has trouble with Russells JV team. Greenup with a game under their belt helps as long as they didn't get anyone banged up.

Russell didn't fare well against Wheelersburg 28-0 after 3 quarters and 2 Wheelersburg tds called back. I think everyone pretty much knew Wheelersburg would win big.I expect them to contend for the division 5 Ohio Championship.

 

Still even though Russell had not scored on Wheelersburg after 3 quarters I like the fact they got to play a great team to get ready for Greenup County.I think they will be ready Saturday. Russell won't see too many teams the level of Wheelersburg this year.

Not till they meet Belfry. I picked the Devils just think GC depth wise isn't their yet. Should be a great game though.

They wouldn't meet Belfry I think until the state finals due to the cross bracketing for 2017-2018.

That should be motivation enough for the Devils to make a deep run in the playoffs. Russell just has Greenups number too.

This is a Saturday game next week? Hope so as I will get to attend the game.

Anyone have any updates on Ryan Stump injury Status? Is he out for his senior season or not? I heard Merle Kidwell on the Raceland/Lawrence broadcast say Russell lost him.

I moved back to GC this week after 10 years as a Kyian' living in O H I O .. hopefully I bring them good luck -- GC wins 19 -16

A lot of similarities in this game. Both schools are in Greenup County. The two head coaches are related. Both Head coaches coached at Raceland a few years ago. Both schools and coaches know each other very well. Should make for a great game.

Supposedly out for the year with a torn ACL.
