August 11, 20179 yr We'll just have to agree to disagree. I think Saban, Meyer, Dabo, Jimbo, etc. would have saw the insane athleticism and had him play his freshmen year, just not at QB. They all have more conventional, less raw QB's in position to play QB. Lamar was a gamble UofL was able to to take. A guy like that is always a gamble playing QB because he not a highly proficient passer, he's just a big time playmaker, he just makes football plays. A lot of times guys like that don't pan out because you aren't able to reel them back in from that mentality. Lamar obviously paid out big time for UofL. But UofL could afford to take the gamble, but schools like Bama, OSU, FSU, etc. can't afford to take that gamble. There's only been one guy who plays the way Lamar plays who has been successful and that is Michael Vick who Jackson obviously gets a lot of comparisons too. The point is Lamar was a gamble that UofL could afford to take, OSU and Bama don't have to gamble on guys. I agree that we disagree, but your argument doesn't follow logic. This isn't fantasy football. If Lamar would have attended OSU or Clemson he probably wouldn't have shown his abilities on Saturdays yet, but of course he would still be a QB. Regardless of what the young kid shows at practice, he probably right away isn't going to overtake the guy who led a team to a playoff (JT) or the guy who won the championship (Cardale) or the best to ever play at that school (Deshaun), but the guys getting paid millions of dollars to coach football are never going to move a guy capable of winning a Hesiman at QB away from that position. I have to believe they would recognize the talent at practice and there's no way in the world that if they do, they don't continue to develop that talent.

August 12, 20179 yr Deshaun didn't deserve it last year plain and simple. I agree he was the best player but he threw 17 interceptions. He didn't deserve to win the Heisman.I disagree but do respect your opinion.

There is no way you keep what many consider to be the best athlete in college football off the field. He would have won it though if they playoffs were included.
