Corbin's defense was really good last year, especially against teams that liked to throw the ball. That had a hiccup against Mayfield, but you have to credit the Cardinals for taking advantage of what Corbin was giving to them the first half. After Corbin went back to their regular defensive scheme the second half, the Hounds were able to get back into the game.

 

The main reason the defense was so effective was the fact that they were able to really put pressure on the opposing QB without blitzing the LB's. The main 3 DL, Davis, Evans & Sevier, who created all that pressure graduated, and I'm not sure they can be replaced. They also only return 1 starting DB, so I doubt they can duplicate the defensive stats listed below from some of last year's games.
