July 10, 20179 yr I guess we've all seen some rather odd or peculiar things in our lives. I'd like to hear a few of yours. Define "odd" ever how you want to. Think of some event, situation, person that seemed , well,..... odd . Don't know what made me think of this but about twenty or so years ago we went to Cincinnati for a weekend of Reds' games in mid to late April. It was cold as kraut!!! We stayed at a motel in Florence. On Sunday morning, I woke up , readied myself for breakfast, looked out of my motel room window and saw a man that looked like and was dressed like a young Jerry Garcia, rainbow colors and all. He was wearing something that looked awfully close to a skirt or dress. It was spitting snow outside. But that didn't deter my man one bit. He was walking his kitty cat on a leash and both him and puss seemed to be enjoying the stroll. ODD .....

July 10, 20179 yr Anyone ever witness anything odd in the sky? Strange lights, objects, etc... ? Watched a tree in my backyard fall over Friday night during the wind storm that came through.......thank God it went the way it did or I'd be replacing a roof right now, pretty scary stuff!
July 10, 20179 yr One time I went to a high school football game and no one thought the refs made any bad calls and everyone thought both coaches knew what they were doing. Totally strange.
July 10, 20179 yr At the restaurant where I work, me and another girl were working a busy patio. I was able to stop and take a 30-second breather, and she walked by with a 2-oz ramekin full of diced onions. She waved her off-hand at a fly that had gotten in and clumsily hit the onion cup, sending a snow-globe of slow-motion diced onions in the air while she reset herself. About half of them spilled, but her customers were happy with what they got. It's the little things. We were rolling laughing.
July 10, 20179 yr That last Bengals playoff game against Pittsburgh was the oddest thing I've witnessed in years.
July 10, 20179 yr We had the annual street concert in Bardstown last night. Huge crowd — biggest in the 10 years I've lived here. Before it went down, I remarked to a co-worker that our downtown parking lot would be an even bigger mess than usual. Showed up this morning and there was a fresh batch of puke on the ground by our picnic table (I may have seen it last night — not sure as details are foggy). The good thing is that all the mess was plastic cups and aluminum cans. No glass bottles allowed at the street concert.

July 10, 20179 yr Author Must have been the summer of '71 or '72. The strangest night I can ever remember. We had window fans in the house when I was a kid. Dad would get his bath and then take his towel and dry off with help of the fan.(I know, he's odd as well) He did his drying act on this night as well. I can remember an odd sound and then the fan shutting off. Also, no nights... house was dark.... no street lights either. Later on, went to my grandparents. On the way, realized that there were no lights anywhere. City-wide blackout. Stranger still, dad's wrist watch had stopped. Stayed at my grandparents house. I think the electricity came back on at four or five in the morning. Probable off eight or nine hours total. The next day in the local paper the headline read something to the effect: " City-wide Blackout. Strange Lights reported Above Pepsi Plant." Apparently, strange blue lights had been seen by numerous people hovering above the Pepsi Cola Bottling Plant on Corbin's southside. Don't think anyone ever got to the bottom of what happened. I just know it was one of the oddest nights I've ever experienced. Can't really describe the feel of that evening, other than, well, .....odd.
