doomer
I'll have to get the chase car ready... We can take my truck...then we can put the thing-a-ma-jig with the little balls in the back. Don't forget your laptop.

It's hard to film and take pictures while driving somewhat safely :lol2:

TheDeuce
Might be a funnel. More likely a low hanging skud.

He said there was rotation on radar and it appeared to be a funnel cloud. I only know enough about it to read radar and keep a safe distance :lol2:

Every storm is different, so it could have been enough to spin up a quick funnel.

As somewhat of a new (and learning) storm chaser, it was exciting to have something other than rain, hail or lightning. I have now seen one tornado and one funnel. It's exciting but then again, I love storms and weather.

First time I saw one was pretty surreal.

I didn't have my good camera with me. Had actually just finished coaching a little league game :lol2: There wasn't really any way to get closer because it happened so fast. It dipped down for maybe one minute.

If you are really out "chasing" them, I would suggest downloading Radar Scope Pro for your phone. Excellent app with lots of features. It's what I use.
