Northern Kentucky 4A Football

Featured Replies

Ryle - Seem to be on the right track, struggled down the stretch in '05.

Dixie- I rank them ahead of BC even though the Rebs have won the past 2.

Boone- Solid running game slighlty behind the Colonels

Campbell- Keep reading good things about them, ranked ahead of SK based on '05.

SK- Could be #2 but right now fighting for 4 spot in district.

I like

Ryle

BC

Dixie

SK

right now, but there is ALOT of football to be played yet. We are only half way thru the regular season and most of us know that BC and Dixie are always late bloomers. Why? I don't know and it drives me crazy, but it is true. So how it will shake out may be a little diferent than how it is right now. Ryle made a few changes last season that should pay dividends at the end of the year. But who knows, we'll see. I still think at this point it's a week to week thing as we see these teams evolve into playoff form. So I will probably change my 1-4 before it's all over.:D

The better question will be who will emerge to go to the third round?

The only team who can beat Ryle this year is Ryle. They will go VERY deep in the playoffs!

I'm not sure its a case of "late bloomers" vs playing an early season schedule where they are the underdogs. Once they get that out of the way, they start beating teams they can beat.

Define "very deep."

It appears like "deep" should be 3rd round minimum if the seeds play out like most think.

Does antone know how the new playoff format will work?

1 vs 4

2 vs 3

EX. Ryle vs SK

Boone vs Dixie

Round 2- Ryle vs Boone

Round 3- Ryle vs one of the L'ville schools

Ryle is getting better and better every week, they will easily come out on top in nky.

Don't quote me on this but I think the third round is actually a team from the West visiting the winner of the "NKY Playoff". Then, the fourth round is the winner of the West/NKY game visiting the Central KY winner. Then, the final is the Central/West/NKY survivor vs. one of the Big Three.

As far as NKY football, I was impressed with Campbell and believe they have a better chance of claiming a spot than SK. I guess that means I think they will beat SK.

I understand where you are coming from but winning is never easy. It takes hard work and team work. That's what I see from the Raiders so I like their chances to succeed this year.

I would think that some of you would remember the mud that was last year and how it didn't shake out till the last week. I think this year could be a mirror image of that. Either way, it's not clear at this time who will be where when the dust settles.

I heard that the new playoff system didn't start until next year?.. Are we sure they start this year?

It does start this year. KHSAA shows the brackets.
