Lewis County 26 Estill County 0

I don't want to be a finger pointer, but it seems to me you like to pick on Estill and their coach. Maybe Jones needs to find some good help. He didn't have it when he first came to Estill, but he got it later. Good times are ahead.

Good POINT 1203!!! The Staff is alot better. Tall Trees fall hard ol buddy ..... Lay off of Jones.

I believe that there is alot of tradition in Estill County and a true love of the game. At some point in the "Neer" future it will all come togther.

They can not even score on Lewis? Give me a break!!! Lewis can not have that much better players than Estill. The motivation is to come from the coach!! Everything trickles down. :ylsuper:

Take it easy on lewis.. they worked hard for that win

It is definately not the coach! The game plan can be there but if the kids don't execute it you can't blame the coach. Jones is a winner and knows how to win but if the kids don't play there is nothing he nor his coaches can do. As far as the "trickling down" quotes goes for motivation, it can come from the coach but you can't motivate players that don't want to be motivated!

yes you can blame the coach. It is his job to get the team ready for Friday nights. I know you love your coach but give me a break. the teams performance is ultimately at the fault of the coach

Which one is it,does he have good help or not? You say he "needs to find some good help" Then you say "he got it later" Maybe you just do not know what you are talking about. Also I do not like to pick on no one. FACTS are FACTS. Good luck to the kids at Estill.

I said he didn't have it his first year here, but got good help his next two or three years. Maybe the inconsistency with the coaching staff has something to do with the lack of success now.

I'll just say that at some point every program has to go through a rebuilding period. It has just been Estill's turn in the box. A true fan of football would understand that and not be so quick to point out blame.

Estill County players know the task ahead of them and I applaud them for not quitting. As far as Jones and his staff go they don't seem to be quitting either. A true test of a team is how they handle adversity and these guys are handling it like men. It is very easy to criticize something when you have no stake in it but let's see who's there when the program turns around.

You see here, you say "Good luck to the kids at Estill." You go out of your way to exclude Coach Jones and his staff, you don't have to be like that, a simple Good luck Estill would've been fine.

Somebody has to be quitting to loose to Lewis by 26. Im sorry there is no rebuilding in high school, just retooling. Rebuilding might only occur if there is a new coaching staff. How would the Estill seniors feel, if they look at this board and see there senior year is a "rebuilding" year. I feel sorry for the Estill players because they deserve a chance to win.

The seniors at Estill would probably be concerned to know that there are so many people out there that want to "down" their coach and team. These kids know that their hard work will eventually pay off for them no matter what the "nay sayers" of the football world say about them or their coaches. There are alot teams in the state but only one champion in each class. I know that you can't call all of the teams that don't win losers. Football is about learning teamwork and the concept of family. Football teaches kids about life and I would dare say that the kids of Estill County will be better suited to handle adversity than some other kids who expect things to always go their way.

As far as rebuilding goes in any sport no matter what the level there is always going to be a rebuilding year. That is the time that the program and it's seniors use tradition and pride to rely on.

Give Lewis a little credit.
