Simply put Southwestern has horrible pass defense. They're big, strong and fast but their secondary has no idea how to defend the pass. If you can throw at all you're going to put up points on their defense.

South was down right after the kickoff return for a td. Ive noticed after the other team has a couple big plays its almost as if South just gives up. South is a good team when they play like one. Better luck next week against Madison Cl. ! hope you win!

Nope, not a single pass. Lincoln Co knows all about Marty Jaggers. Run it til they stop it. Kinda like Coach Larry French. I'm happy that Coach French is back in the area and no better place to be then at Lincoln. Is French making believers out of people who weren't for sure at first?

Great job Lincoln. Good luck against McCreary Central next week.. I will go ahead and say it. Lincoln will win this one big also.

South needs to get there running game up and going even though they are without starting backs Cody Quinn(38) and Randy McQueen(34) they still have to establish a ground game. After South got down by two touchdowns South just completely ended there running game. Lincoln Co. just set back in pass coverage the rest of the game because South threw about every play after there second series. Logan Baker(29), Martin Jones(11), Shay House(20) can all run the ball , but the offense just passes ever down , this must Stop if South is going to have any chance against Madison Central.

 

Also South's 3-5 defense cannot stop anyone , they need to change it right now , even though learning a new defense this late in the season would be hard it couldnt be any worse than how it stops the run now.

According to Lincoln County's official stats, the Patriots rushed for 502 yards last night. Over 400 combined rushing yards by Braxton Miller (250+) and Trent Calhoun (170+). This tandem keeps getting more productive.

 

The greatest Lincoln teams of the past (93, 90, 88, 81, 79) were great rushing teams. They were all speedy and thrived on smash-mouth football.

I agree on the comment about the SL defense.....something has to change. They can not stop the run and the 3-5 D is not working. South Laurel started off with good offensive drives against Lincoln but the poor defensive performance just took the wind out of their sails and the whole team just gave up.

Who is LC new offensive cord. and where is he from? From what Ive heard he has really made a difference this year.
