Today I witnessed 4 GREAT games at BB&T Arena in the Quarter-Final round of the Girls State Tourney. While, all four had their fair share of silly passes and turnovers, each team displayed that "never say die" mentality till the very end.

Girls HS hoops can be at times painful to watch, however what I witnessed today in all four games was nothing but ENJOYABLE and EXCITING.

Thank you Ladies.

Wait til Saturday. With Butler gone, theres going to be alot people feeling loosey goosey.......Should be 2 barn burners

The officiating yesterday was horrible. Arguably decided the outcome of a couple of games. I don't understand how you can call a foul on that last play in the SK/Franklin game...and the Mercer/GRC game totally changed on a couple of calls.

Regardless, very exciting basketball games. Hopefully more of the same in the semis

How much are tickets for tonight?

Well said LB.

And I know I am always sucking up to you on here but thanks so much for allowing all of us to share in that joy with all your fantastic and detailed updates.

No more than $15 I believe.

Tickets are $13 right now, not sure if that price changes as it gets closer to game time

BGP #4 Mercer County vs #6 Murray , #7 Franklin County vs #11 Holmes. Mercer and Franklin met in a semi last year with Franklin winning (these 2 teams have alot of kids with experience at the state tourney) Murray beat prohibitive favorite Butler in the quarters. Holmes slept in their own beds last night. Today should be a great day of basketball
