March 2, 20179 yr Because they peaked in January. I was afraid something like this might happen. I mentioned it then and was ridiculed. Rick Pitino is one of the best coaches in college basketball, though. He will get this fixed and the Cards will be ready for a run. They were 6-2 in January and 5-2 in February. Lost to #23 ND and #10 FSU, both on the road in January. Lost to #12 Virginia and #8 UNC, both on the road, in February. They were the last team in CBB to lose to an unranked team, that was last night. Your argument holds no water.
March 2, 20179 yr Well done :lol2:. Almost exactly what I expected. The teams that are in contention for the tournament are winning 83% of their home games. That's absurd for 11 teams in one conference. :lol2:

They aren't playing their best basketball now. That's all I meant.

Well they were playing well and then Snider got hurt and kept playing well and then Hicks got hurt. It's been tougher since then. January also had a lot of games against Pitt, NC State, BC and other lower teams in the ACC. We'll see how this works but Deng Adel's recent downturn in defense is troubling.
March 2, 20179 yr Where is the ACC tourney this year? Are UNC and Duke more less going to have home court advantage again or will it be in a more neutral location than in recent years?

March 2, 20179 yr Author Where is the ACC tourney this year? Are UNC and Duke more less going to have home court advantage again or will it be in a more neutral location than in recent years? Brooklyn. In the Barclay's for the first time. Gives me some hope headed in due to Louisville's past successes in New York.
March 2, 20179 yr Awesome. Duke has a pretty large alumni base in NYC but it still should be a much more neutral site than when they play it in Greensboro. Should make for an interesting tournament.
March 2, 20179 yr Author What is the northernmost school in the ACC? I'm having a brain lapse Boston College. Syracuse is second and will have a massive following in NYC even as the 8 or 9 seed.
March 2, 20179 yr Brooklyn. In the Barclay's for the first time. Gives me some hope headed in due to Louisville's past successes in New York. It would be so fun to go! See some great college hoops, stay in the city - go to some cool restaurants, go see Hamilton.... I think it’s in Brooklyn again next year too.
