Oldham County has been the favorite or one of the favorites the last 4 years. Is this a case of too high expectations or underachieving?

 

I have not been around long enough to have the full picture but it seems like they are running into teams that play a great game against them. Maybe the other teams are better mentally prepared. With the talent that OC seems to have year after year something needs to change in their mental preparation for the Regional. I felt Collins had the inside game to take it to OC and sounds like they did. Congrats to Collins and to OC on another really good year.

Collins SHOULD take care of business, however, if you take anyone lightly at this time of year you do so at your own peril.

This Collins team has been hard to figure out. When you think they have started playing better they lose a game they shouldn't. Then when you think it's falling apart losing 4 of 6 then they beat Oldham Co. I still think they can play better than they did last night. Fort and Feltner never really got going last night. A lot of they had to do with Oldham's very good Def. And Cochran was in foul trouble in the 1st half. But played well in the 2nd until he fouled out late in the game. Good thing is Dom has a few days off to rest his ankle. I thought Gaither did a great job coaching last night. I mean he's no Burns but we will take him.

Gaither is as good as it gets. And the basketball cliche that never gets old, "in the postseason, coaching kicks in".

For what it's worth on December 3 Gallatin led Collins by 4 with 2:00 to play and the Titans scored the final 8 points to win 55-51.
