Open Job: Hopkinsville

Beat Franklin Simpson, and you're going to State. How's that sound for appealing. They are that talented.

That sounds pretty good! I knew they were down a few years ago, and haven't really kept up with how they have been doing recently.

They did for sure. In his 1st three years they only won 7 games, and his administration never wavered......in a lot of other places across this state (with a lot less resources; especially in terms of personnel) they'd have canned him.

Fast forward three years later, and they once again became a fixture in their class across the state. I' happy for him...much deserved.

We could see a Western Kentucky Coaching dominoes here with this job open.

One would think, but I remember that when Marc got this job it fell through a few people to him (I remember the thread, but he also told me that personally).

It's going to be late in the year, too. Whoever takes this job if they are a current head coach will do so knowing that more than likely their former team will be going into the summer without a coach.

When it gets down to crunch time; those strings start tugging at the heart(s) moreso than they do already b/c of how late in the game it is.

We are right in the heart of letter of intent time too for teachers.

Pretty fascinated by reading this thread:

Proud fan base;

Administration backs their new coach (only 7 wins first 3 years);

Former Coach Clark "not accepted" by "proud fan base";

Always said athletes are not the problem at Hoptown. Still believe that.

Would seem to be a great opportunity. IF, IF all things remain the same from last season personnel wise and the reported youth in the stable, this will be a team to be reconned with NEXT year. Pretty good way to start out your stint as Head Coach of the Hopkinsville Tigers...

Hoptown will announce their new head coach tomorrow according to @chrisjung
