The PA announcer in the 37th District boys Championship game the other night who keep in mind is supposed to be neutral even though it was held at Campbell Co. screamed into his mic when a Campbell County guy was fouled and made the shot "TOO EASY!!!!" Very uncalled for IMO.

No need at all for the play by play imo. I think the biggest thing is that less is more. Speak so that people can understand you, pronounce the names correctly, give the name of the person that scores,call who the foul is on, how many personal fouls that they have, and how many team fouls that they have. Also try not to be too much of a homer.

 

Do they even announce visitor scores in college or the NBA?

At least it wasn't the same guy who did the 10th region girls tournament last year. He would make unnecessary PSA's during game play and would repeat them every minute.

I don't know if he meant to say it into the microphone or not. He may have thought it was still off. In any case you are being paid to do a job you've got to know better.

Agree on everything but I'm cool with the PA announcer getting excited when the home team makes a big play. It just can't be EVERY play.
