Cincinnati Christian University will be playing their home games on Newport Catholic's home field for the 2017 season.

The season home opener is this Saturday Feb. 25th at 1:00 & 3:00 pm, followed by another double-header on Sunday the 26th.

NewCath's home field is at Newport Veterans Memorial Park 26 Caroline Ave, Newport, Ky 41071

Awesome. What will admission be? Also, is this temporary or will it possibly be a long term thing?

Was CCU's former home field over on the west side of Cincy ? We played fall ball with them last year at a complex that was decent , very little room behind home , older park with lots of big trees around .

I'll find out about admission, if any.

We will have to see about the following years.

To be honest I don't know, I'll find out.

CCU's Home Field today was HHS's very own Winkler Park in Ft Thomas for a Double Header. As much rain as we got last night you would of thought there would be no way anybody could play today. That wasn't the Case at the Birdcage today.....#turface

Only a very small puddle or two at our place, if they had to they could have got them in. However, with what rain they were calling for we didn't think it would be do-able, so they went with Plan B, glad it worked out for them.

Me and Mrs. Lawnboy stopped by in between games, 32 degrees at the time.....more blankets, covers, gloves, hats, & parkas then you can shake a stick at.

If they would have played today at our place, Mrs. Lawnboy said she wasn't opening the concession stand. :lol2:

I love watching softball, but NOT when the temp is that low.

Cincinnati Christian was responsible for all Field Prep. The Softball Program was in the Field House practicing hitting the "The Black Widow"

I bet that inside box line was tight, tight, tight.....
