LCA 35 Bath 6

 

Anyone team that can hold Raceland to less that 100 yards is pretty good defensively.

 

What about a team that held Fairview to 107 total offensive yards?

 

 

The LCA Eagles fly into Owingsville with the Rams in the rearview mirror picking where the district trophy will be placed and forget that Bath County has a team that is ready to play after being plum pummeled for the first 3 years of this series slips up and gets Denked up. What a Metz it will be and still won't be even Stevens for these teams as the Wildcats want to Clemons a piece of the pie.

Fairview isn't very good this year. The only play they run well is fullback trap. Bath County is not a terrible team but I really don't think that West Carter, Lewis, Morgan, and Fairview are the caliber of Mercer, CAL, Desales, Corbin, and Raceland. I have been wrong in the past but I believe the district will shape out as LCA, Raceland or Paris, Bath, Fairview, Nicholas, and Berea in that order.

LCA is weak this year....i watched LCA play corbin this year and the high powered offense that i kept hearing about wasnt there. The only real threat i saw was the HAYDEN kid he is a load but for some reason he only got the ball a few times...i dont know much about Bath Co. but im gonna go out on a limb and say bath co. by 10

 

Where did you hear about this "high powered offense" at? LCA has been high powered the last 2 or 3 years...but was going to be really young this year so they switched offenses. As a matter of fact, Coach Rains has said all year that it would take his offense awhile to catch up to his defense. If LCA is so "weak" why didnt Corbin blow them out?

If you think LCA is weak you certainly had no ticket to last weeks game. They beat a good Raceland football team and their speed on defense is unreal. Bath must be at the top of their game to keep this one close.

CV - interesting that LCA beats Raceland and Raceland goes to #8 whilke LCA goes to #17!?:confused:

It makes you wonder how they decide who goes where in the rankings. I really thought that Raceland would drop to around 8 or maybe 10. After the loss I still think we are a top 10 team. We are a much better team than what people saw last week. If the offense was on it was a much different outcome but you have to credit the defense of LCA with that. I also think that LCA is better than a #17.

Actually I hope it is true...that Polls are meaningless...that is.

The Polls really mean nothing but it does give the kids a little Pride and something extra to work for. Most coaches will tell you they have not seen the Polls. I still think they take a little peek:D
