Milton Friedman's solution to the uninsured

Featured Replies

Got to the 7:30 mark in this video.

Direct question about insuring the uninsured. Interesting answer. Its one that basically matches what an insider said was a better solution.

The smartest man of the 20th century in my opinion in his field.

This one is more related to the hazards of socialized and/or government directed medical care.

About 9 minutes. Worth the watch overall.

And these videos are almost 40 years old.

Interesting...a living wage.

What if irresponsible people choose not to spend their money on healthcare?

All schools should use his videos to teach economics.

And schools should use Trey Gowdy's videos to teach government and civics.

I don't know if Friedman ever lost a debate or didn't have an answer for a question in a townhall. His vast knowledge and grasp on economics never ceases to amaze me. His book "Free to Choose" should be required reading in every school in America.

It goes back to his standard philosphy of freedom of choice. The government should not subsidies behavior.

Adults have choices. I don't make opinion on emotional triggers, but logic.

Children?

:lol2: that works on the textbook page.

Children?

If a parent makes the wrong choices then they shouldn't be parents and I would be ok aiding the children until Adulthood. I do not believe in rewarding bad behavior.

No your emotional response " but what about the children" sounds good in a Sociology course by some unintellectual proffessor. But creating laws on logic and reason is what should be taking place. Creating straw man arguments just does not work with me.

Also for the record you are ok with using the text book with scientists who want extreme global warming laws but when I suggest reason and logic in economics it some how creates laughter ? Economics and math are every bit the science that is Ecology and Biology.

Lots of good people have made bad decisions. IMO, health is not a reward.
