Pendleton County 75 Williamstown 65

Really fun game.

Allen is every bit as good as advertised. Made his living on second and third chance buckets.

Hope Stanley's injury proves insignificant. Returning to the game was a good sign, but I wonder how much of that was just competitiveness.

Looked like PC used Allen as a decoy for most of the game.

Good team win tonight. Good luck to both teams moving forward!

Didn't look like he was slashing to the basket as much afterwards.

For PC Walsh and Yelton don't put up enough shots, they need more. I may have missed it but where did the big boy come from for Williamstown (Fox).

If I'm Pendleton County my plan is have Dontaie Allen drive and when the defense comes to help/collapse kick it to Walsh, Yelton, etc. And when they don't collapse on Dontaie than it's all his and should score 1 on 1 with ease. I'm concurring with @All Blue on this. Keaton Belcher has had the identity as a 3pt shooting team and it works. Everyone on the team has a good %. Shoot more! IMG_0213.JPG

Teams won't go far when they live by the 3 pointer. Agree on Allen driving and kicking out for good looks but PC has to learn how to get to the free throw line by cutting to the basket with Allen as well.

The program is heading in the right direction and has improved overall.

You do realize that the only kid who would qualify as a good 3 point shooter by percentage would be Grant Walsh at 41%? Mid to low 30% 3 point percentages are not what many would qualify as good.

What kind of decoy takes 27 shot attempts?

If Pendleton County is such a bad 3PT shooting team then why are they trying to make that their offensive identity and keep shooting?

I'll take 3PT 35% shooting when Dontaie Allen is getting multiple offensive board a game and getting put backs and second chance points for his team.

33% from 3 is the equivalent of 50% from 2. Most people consider 50% from 2 an adequate shooting percentage. Looks like quite a few of their kids are at or above the 33% threshold from 3.

One who gets double digit offensive rebounds and goes back up. Multiple possessions where he had multiple attempts.

Decoy probably isn't the right word as the offense is run through him. I'd go with facilitator.

So how many of his 12.5 rpg are on his own missed shots? Just kidding. You were giving him a complement and it came off to me a little differently.

Kid can play. He does clean up the boards. He needs to work on his 3 pt shooting.

31.9% is not that great.

PC did alot better job in the second half to open things up. I like how they adjusted to what the defense was doing .

A lot. Has multiple 2 to 3 putback attempts in a single possession.
