Can't vote in the poll. I support the protests, but I don't support violence. It seems my only choices are that I support both the protests AND violence, or I don't support the protests because of the violence.

 

Those are the choices, on purpose. But you know that already.

Most of the polls posted recently are poorly worded and designed to make it impossible for people to vote the "wrong" way. The sale of guns to the mentally ill is another example of such a poll. Online polls in general are mostly a waste of time because the wording of the questions says more about the personal biases of the pollster than the respondents. In this case, even if somebody supports the violence of the most recent protests (exactly which protests does that include - there have been so many?), they are unlikely to admit as much.

I'm beginning to be for violent protest. I hope these protesters start getting the absolute crap beat out of them. I'm tired of hearing how I should be tolerant, am a racist, a homophobic redneck, a deplorable, etc.

And yet it's allowed, promoted, praised, and encouraged by the media, and leading Dems.

I think the most recent was the protest at UC Berkeley against a gay conservative, Milo Yiannopoulos, who was scheduled to speak on campus. The protest turned violent, caused $100,000 worth of damage, and the liberal protesters were successful in stopping Mr. Yiannopoulos from exercising his First Amendment rights. Free speech was squelched and the speaking engagement was canceled.
