Spencer County 71 Anderson County 64

Stinks that the 30th district is so loaded. One really good team is going to be left out. I see some of these districts that are so weak allowing teams to get in the regional tournament. Just doesn't seem fair. Oh well, I guess the teams that get out of those loaded districts will be battle tested and ready to do bigger things later.

When Collins is healthy, and they are far from it, they are hands down the best team in region. However, like stated, they are not healthy and I am hearing Turner was out again last night and probably Friday as well.

Spencer is solid, have some great young talent, but I have to agree, if they beat you at home, your not that good.

Anderson is still very capable of winning out, but there schedule is terrible and it is tought to get better when you are playing Model, and Bath out of region. Man up anderson.

Anderson and collins will find a way to get out of district, Spencer is still 2 years away from a banner hanging region appearance, and they better start recruiting a big or region tournament visitor will be the best they can do.

I think Collins is outstanding when they are healthy. Unfortunately, they are far from it. Turner was out again last night. I'm not sure if he will play Friday or not. On top of that, Collins lost another kid to sprained ankle that is starting in place of an injured starter. I'm not sure how bad his ankle was, so he may be back by Friday. I just don't know. Right now, Collins is down 3 starters and one reserve. It's shame, because this team is good enough to make it out of the region and maybe win a game or two at the state.

Yep. 64 Districts have been "allowing" (whatever that means) 2 teams in the Regional Tournament since 1932.

Seriously? Anderson's out of region schedule has featured games with Louisville Valley, Johnson Central (#1 in the 15th), and Perry County Central (#1 in the 14th) as well as games against capable teams like West Carter and Central Hardin.

To be fair with the pre-season predictions for Anderson, one of the questions entering the year was depth for Anderson. From the opening of the school year, Anderson has lost 3 of the top 8 projected players. This has forced them to go with younger inexperienced players that were not expected to get as much playing time at the beginning of the year. The preseason predictions were justified but can't apply now with the changes.

Iceman, with all do respect. Shelby best Johnson Central, so that means they are not good. Saying Perriville is #1 in the 14th means as much as saying Eminece is #1 in Henry County, who cares. I will give them the win over Valley, but they came In the season as the favorite in 8th and bragging on a win vs The Valley is not great, bring Ballard, Male, Trinity to the equation and then we can talk. Other than Valley, have they beat anyone worth a darn?

Now, they can beat anyone, I agree, Penny could go for 50, or just as easily 5, but they are not on collins level. Good news for them they get to play Collins JV team Friday and see how well they are playing.

Donuts and Henry's. Bye

I'm not ready to say that Spencer is a really good team. Name some big wins. Thansn

Come watch a game. Your not going to give them any credit until they knock off one of the top three--which they almost did against Oldham and South Oldham. Desales is a pretty solid team and I don't care what you think about Anderson they are a top 5 team in the region and Spencer won on their home court. I've seen all the top teams play except Walton Verona and Anderson is top 5. Gallatin isn't bad and Spencer beat them. I know Larue County was 14-2 when Spencer beat them ( I will agree that their record was a little deceiving. Lost by single digits against Collins AT Collins. Dom was sick in that game, but he played a quarter and a half and we were even when he was in. He actually hit a last second shot at the end of the first quarter to give Collins the one point lead. So I really don't know what they have to do for you to consider Spencer a good team. They look to be 4th in the region out of 17 teams. Let me know what your criteria involves.

I would not say Spencer doesn't have a good team, but in the Collins game, Dom played the first quarter, then was out. Feltner also had the flu and played until his jaw was fractured by an overaggressive attempt to strip the ball from him with 2 seconds left. I don't think Spencer got anything close to Collins best game. That being said, I think they are definitely as good or better than Shelby and Anderson. When Collins was full strength, they were outstanding. I'm not sure if they can get back to where they were or not when everyone gets healthy again. We will see.

I agree that when healthy Collins is very good, but Spencer County also played very badly. They hit one three the whole game and some of the younger kids hadn't been in that environment before so---it was a good experience. I don't know if you saw the game, but Spencer County probably missed 15 point blank shots. I'm hoping that Spencer is lucky enough to get by the first district game and play a healthy Collins in the final. I think it will be a better game than people realize. Some of the youngsters on Spencer's team have gotten some experience this year and are really playing well. It would be a fun game to watch. Like I said I think a healthy Collins is a VERY good team.
