This isn't your dad's Beechwood Basketball Program anymore. The Tigers should be pretty good over the next few years if all the kids keep playing..

And their best 8th grader is playing varsity

Okay, so are you trying to say the coach does not play to win because too many guys get playing time? That the three 8th graders should start and play every minute even though it has been said that at least 2 of them will not be suiting up in future years? Who are these kids that should not be getting ANY playing time? I saw a kid sit last night for the entire game when they were getting it handed to them. How does one explain that? Is the goal of frosh basketball to win at all costs or is it about development because you never know what kids will be there a few years down the road and which ones will not.

 

JOAT i actually agree with you. (danger of writing communication and not interpreting everything perfectly..)

 

I believe they ALL should play...but just acknowledging that on some nights - this is very, very challenging - to always perform best, and hit the rotations properly..just difficult.

Should be interesting to see how they compete in their difficult District. Great records are nice and all but getting to the Dance is the ultimate goal. If they transcend then I'd put them 2nd in their District being CovCath.
