Michael's drive down the lane in traffic with a slam dunk finish was impressive. Add to that he is a freshman...WOW!

Is this the huge kid that played on Cov Cath's freshman football team (#10) I believe who looked like a man among boys? Lol

Yes

Nice to see the subs for CCH getting some quality minutes in.

I know Dixie has some nice wins and there are some other good teams, but is 9th region starting to shape up as CovCath and Cooper showdown?

I think it has felt that way since October.

Very cool pregame ceremony honoring the many contributions Matt Otte made to the program. A very well earned standing ovation.

Maybe so but seems like the gap is widening? Dixie might be the only other 9th region team that has the "look" of a contender. And their best effort may have been a loss to the Camels. Lloyd has a nice team but nowhere near the Top 2. NCC maybe by year end? Other normal contenders like Conner, Ryle, Holmes, Holy Cross not a threat at this time.

If both teams are at full strength, yes. Both teams are battling injuries to key players right now so...

Agreed. Well deserved.

Also, it was cool to see the entire place give a lot of love to the 1967 team that was honored. Kudos to the Conner fans.

First, in reverse order, great point and I apologize for the oversight. The Conner fans standing for the 1967 State Runner-up team was all class.

Second, the look on Matt's face when he realized what was happening was fantastic. A nicer guy you'd be hard pressed to find. Long-term, Conner is in very good hands.

I saw Cooper and CovCath mentioned and I am going to say this: If both teams win their district, which they should, and they end up on the same side of the 9th region bracket I am going to be highly upset by that. That game "should" be the championship game. Anyway, congrats to CCH on the win and I can't wait for the 18th. Is it true that they canceled the freshman and JV Cooper/CCH games and are only playing varsity?

I just hope CCH and Cooper are full strength come tourney time.

That is first-class on Conner's part.
