8 Team Playoff 2016 - Who you got?

Featured Replies

This is being discussed in multiple threads so let's bring the discussion to a thread of its own.

If there were an 8 team playoff in college football this year ...

Who would be your final 8?

How would you seed the brackets?

What would you expect the results to be?

No automatic conference champs.

1-4 the same as committee

5- Penn State

6- Oklahoma

7- USC

8- Michigan

Bama/ Michigan Bama wins

Clemson/ USC Clemson wins (Best game of the 4)

Ohio State/ Oklahoma OSU wins

Washington/ Penn State Penn State wins

Bama beats Penn State

Clemson beats Ohio State

Clemson beats Bama

USC intrigues me the most out of the teams that didn't get in. They started off slow this season but may have been playing the best at the end.

I agree. I would give anything to see them against Bama again. They dominated Washington more than Bama did in my eyes and it was at Washington as opposed to a glorified home game for Bama. I generally don't subscribe to the theory of relativity in college football, but I think it applies here.

I'll take Alabama and Clemson

I agree. I wouldn't be sold 100% on the Trojans losing to Clemson. They looked top notch after the first few weeks of the season. My guess is they will be in the running for the number 1 ranking to start next season.

1 Alabama

2 Clemson

3 Washington

4 Penn State

5 Ohio State

6 USC

7 Oklahoma

8 Florida State
