December 22, 20169 yr It's almost like some of you failed to read the congressional report. The scientist that was fired wasn't a climate scientist. She wasn't fired for stating opinions about climate change. It was a scientist studying low-dose radiation. The Department of Energy was trying to shutter the program she was working with in order to divert the funds to climate research. The Department used methods that were definitely not above board in order to try to convince the congressional committee that the work being done wasn't important and unnecessary to the department's goals. This scientist disagreed and the Department retaliated. It's not good and it's not the way things are supposed to work... ...but none of this had anything to do with the suppression of contradictory climate science.
