@PurplePride92, can you give a preview of the CovCath-Trinity matchup? Who do you see winning?

I can try.

Two of the best coaches in the state are Coach Szabo and Coach Ruthsatz. Both bring a championship pedigree to this game and both are bringing very talented teams to the KOB today.

CovCath brings Cole Vonhandorf and CJ Fredrick to the matchup and both are proven scorers who have played in games of this magnitude before. Jake Walter provides the beef in the paint and he will need to secure as many rebounds as possible for CCH to be successful tonight. AJ Mayer is another player who has played in games of this magnitude in basketball and football and I can see him being a factor in this game even without him needing to drop 20 points to help the team win. CCH will be missing PG Aiden Ruthsatz and hopefully he can return sooner rather than later. CCH has played an above average schedule and while Trinity will be one of the best teams they have seen to date they have played enough quality competition to have them ready for this game.

Trinity is bringing in a team that is missing their starting PG as well in possible 7th Region POY, Jacob King. Much like CCH they still will boast a talented roster with Lukas Burkman, Jay Scrubb and David Johnson hitting the hardwood tonight. Burkman's heroics on Friday evening got Trinity the victory over Cooper and last night Trinity avenged their only loss of the season by defeating Fern Creek. Scrubb and Johnson will arguably be two of the most athletically gifted and talented players that CCH will see this season and Burkman has the DNA to be a very good basketball player as well. While Trinity is missing King they are also battle tested like CCH and should be ready for tonight's action.

This is a hard game to predict partly because I have only been able to follow both teams from afar and haven't seen this year's versions of either team. I love watching CVH play and CJ Fredrick is one of my favorite kids of the 2018 class. I've always been a fan of Trinity and CCH basketball programs as I feel they are the epitome of class basketball operations. You know you will be getting high quality basketball when these teams hit the court. I think Trinity wins a nail biter but I would not be surprised at all to see CCH win this game. If I wasn't going to be in Glasgow tonight I'd be at Fairdale to watch this game and then my beloved Purples.

Good of luck to both teams and may they stay injury free!!!!

You pretty much nailed it, PP.

Not a South Oldham fan, but to me they may be a top 10 team. They got to the final eight last year and I don't see a drop off. They are killing people. Best three pointing team I have ever seen. Some of their scores are deceiving considering they play their JV players the second half. I'm a Spencer County fan and I don't see how you can defend them. They are loaded with three point shooters. Very dangerous team.

Agree to an extent as I do believe they are a great shooting team...but who is their best win??? Anderson County perhaps, but they have not played an extremely challenging schedule to date. To be in the Top 10 I believe you need to beat teams in or near the Top 10. Next week they will be in their Holiday Tournament that has Fern Creek participating which would give them a match-up of a team in the Top 10 so we shall see soon if they play each other.

Fern Creek vs South Oldham would be interesting if South Oldham keeps shooting lights out. Fern Creek has them on talent, but three point shooting makes up for talent.

Didn't they break the state 3 point shooting record by like 50 like last season?
