December 15, 20169 yr I'm going to try to be done with the racist discussions from here on. It does no good to talk about it anymore. I'm not racist and have no clue on what it's like to be racist and don't understand why people are that way, I guess I wasn't raised tht way or have any reason to ever be that way. Do I agree with what some blacks do or say, no, but I feel the same way about some whites. I don't like things like Miss Black America because it only leads to why isn't there just a Miss White America. Or BET, only makes people want WET. I don't like having to put a black person on a commercial just because there isn't one just like I don't think a white person should be on there just to say there is one on there. Just put the best qualified on there. I think the Roney Rule is dumb, does people actually think an NFL don't want the best coach period, it's all about winning and money, and to force an owner to interview someone for a team they own is dumb. I'm tired of colleges having quotient on color. If a black guy is more qualified to be a DR than a white guy then good or vice versa. I want the best to operate on me and color don't matter. One thing for certain, you ain't getting into heaven if your a racist.
December 15, 20169 yr There won't be one. The meltdown came yesterday. I have to be honest too though. I can't wait to see how all of the Taylor Swift apologists become Kanye fans now because of Trump. The Blacks waived Kanye yesterday so he will be a free agent during the next Chappelle Show Racial Draft. I think we are gonna try to get Eminem again. You can have Eminem — what's he done lately? If my influence in the draft room still has any sway, I'm taking Larry Nance Jr. after the highlight I just saw.

One thing for certain, you ain't getting into heaven if your a racist. None of those things you list — Black Miss America, etc. — would have come about if there wasn't a long, sordid history in our country of denying equally qualified black folks of those "open" competitions that have always somehow, someway, found their way toward white folks. (This next part is an open question to everyone on here. My use of "you" and "your" is a collective usage, and not specifically targeted at you, Mt. Ref. I would like everyone's honest answer here.) Now, I know that's hard for some folks to swallow, but let's be totally honest: How likely would it have been at any point between 1865 and 1980 (or so) that a black girl would have won your Miss County Fair competition? Think really, really hard about this one, and ask some old-timers as well. Or even better: How recently did it become acceptable — and by acceptable, I mean, NOBODY would gossip about how much of a shame it was — for a black guy and a white girl to openly date in your small town? I'm interested to see the responses here.

December 15, 20169 yr Did you see the Nets bench? :lol2: :lol2: I did not. I was transfixed by the play.
December 15, 20169 yr And no. Larry stays with us. You can have Steph though. :lol2: You know, Larry can "pass" easily. I can slip him under even the whitest of radars. Could be a cultural breakthrough.
December 15, 20169 yr Did you see the Nets bench? :lol2: :lol2: OMG — they had to restrain themselves from celebrating. That's a moment that will last forever.

December 16, 20169 yr Short answer is racism is still alive and well in my area, Bullitt and Jefferson. I've seen improvement in the attitudes of most family and friends. We have two mixed relationships in my family and generally speaking they have been accepted.
