Holmes improves to 3-0 with a road win over the Mustangs.

This team seems to be a little better than I thought they would.

They are tough. Get up in you defensively and turn you over. They push, push, push in transition off turnovers and rebounds. They are all athletes that can get into the paint and around the rim and finish. They share the ball pretty well also. Commodore, Hollis, and Miller make a really solid group, 1-3. Green is a big, strong athlete with bouncability.

 

Only thing I see is maybe a lack of depth, and consistent perimeter shooting.

 

That said, these kids compete! Should have a good year.

Impressive showing from a team with only 2 seniors.

I meant Holmes, but I did not know that the Mustangs would struggle early with their youth. So probably as expected.

Any insight on how the Mustangs are?

I believe the Mustangs lost quit a few starters from last years team, with that being said, if you leave them open, they will light it from from three point range, they have a little size, they seemed to wear down second half from Holmes press, as the season goes on they will improve. Holmes defense is very impressive and seem to have balanced scoring.
