Boyle County 70 East Jessamine 63

Featured Replies

The Rebels traveled to East Jessamine and picked up their first win of the season.

Bryce Slone led the way with 27 points and 8 rebounds for the Rebels. Bryce also had 3 assists and 3 steals.

Caleb Jackson and Dylan Frederick provided extremely valuable minutes for the Rebels as Caleb had 14 points and went 4/6 from deep and Dylan had 8 points and 4 rebounds. Both players came off of the bench and provided sparks to the team in different ways to help propel the Rebels to victory. Caleb hit three 3 pointers in a row at one point and Dylan had a sequence where he got 2 dunks in a row(in the flow of the offense) and then drew a charge right after his second dunk. Dylan also had a blocked shot.

Baby J chipped in with 11 points, 6 assists and 3 steals.

Will Bramel had 5 points, 4 rebounds and a blocked shot.

Reese Smith had 5 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.

The Rebels shot 59% overall for the game, 7/14 from deep, 15/21 from the FT line and had 23 turnovers.

Drew Cook led East Jessamine with 25 points on 9/15 shooting, 4/7 from deep. He also had 5 rebounds and 3 steals.

Jacob Bradshaw had 14 points, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks and a steal.

Logan Gayheart had 13 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block and 1 steal.

Yallen Woods had 11 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals.

We finally held on to the lead. Good game from both teams, minus the turnovers.

Glad the Rebels got a win....it doesn't get any easier in December.

Great bench minutes from Jackson and Frederick. I see Jackson moving into a starting role very soon. Bramel is gonna be foul prone so it was good to see Dylan Frederick step up and play great minutes for BC.

Didn't see the game. A good win. How can you have 23 turnovers with 3 guards in the lineup? You won't be able to overcome that number in many games.

To me it is youth and a lack of confidence, these kids have only been together a couple of weeks and nobody has really established themselves except the juniors. At times they are not playing basketball they are being robots and trying to do what they have been told and that isn't gonna work they have to gain some confidence and play ball.
