I truly wish a talented Sports Author would follow these two programs and do a book.

Two polar opposite schools from all indications. City vs. Country. Old Coach vs. Young Coach. Hours apart. Even the colors don't mix, Red and White vs. Black and yellow.

Yet the common ground these two programs have found and the respect for one another, mixed in with the EPIC games that have often came down to the very wire... and the fact they just keep on meeting... I am telling you it would have the potential to be the most accepted High School Football book since Friday Night Lights if done right.

I have read numerous books on High School Football and I have yet to see one that actually details two different programs and let them converge. I am telling you though, this rivalry is movie worthy.

I am thinking maybe someone should tweet Drew Jubera (Must Win), HG Bissinger (FNL) or Joe Drape (Our Boys) and see if they want a second crack at writing a book.

Belfry and Trinity are the soundest football programs in the state

Belfry and Trinity are the soundest football programs in the state

What do you mean by that?

The amazing group of talent Belfry has just doesn't come along every year, and by that alone one would predict an easy Belfry win. But never underestimate Central who always seem to play their best when it matters most, and with their team speed look for them to get in a few punches.

Both teams are well coached and know how to make adjustments, but I believe Belfry will pull away late.

Belfry 35-17

I have always had a tremendous amount of respect for Coach Scroggins and what he has done with the Central program. After the Etown game last week my respect for them only increased. Their fans, coaches and players were nothing but respectful after the game. With that said, I do believe Belfry may run away with this one. Central didn't hurt Etown with the run game. Even with their speed Etown was able to contain them for the most part. They hit us with 3 bombs where they just went up and got the ball over our corner's. If Belfry can keep that from happening then I think they will be successful. Etown also had some problems moving the ball especially in the run game. I don't expect that to be an issue for the Pirates. Good luck to both teams. Wish my Panthers were in this game. I'll take Belfry 35-14

Had no clue just how young Central was... they are going to be tough to handle the next two years in 3A (as if we expected anything less)
