You will see many of the best players find a way to go to their school of choice, often the team who is winning the most. Ten years ago, it was Henry Clay. It is currently Lafayette. There are ways to get it accomplished....some of them already mentioned.

Example 2: Lafayettes freshman class was made up of players from all over the city. At least 6 different middle schools that I could count. This is not exclusive to Lafayette but they have been the school of choice in the short term. I expect things will be shifting soon with the new school opening, re-districting, parents and kids looking for other options, playing time, etc. I was told the current group of freshman were dressed and played in one varsity game as a "reward" for impressing the coaches. The skeptic in me says there may be an ulterior motive, but that's just my opinion.
