South Oldham 45 North Bullitt 42

Featured Replies

SO kicked a FG with 4 seconds left.

South trailed 42-28 with about 7 minutes to play and had a 4th and goal at the North Bullitt 1 yard line and failed to punch it in.

North Bullitt appeared to be putting the game away despite starting at their own one, moving the ball out to midfield, when QB Andrew Brown had the ball poked loose and it was recovered by South Oldham's Drew Baetens near the midfield stripe.

South got a TD to pull within 7 at the 5:15 mark, then got the ball back after forcing a quick three-and-out. Strangely, NB elected to throw the ball and the possession lasted only about 15-20 seconds.

South got the ball back in good field position and again scored quickly, tying the game at 42.

North Bullitt, with over two minutes to play, drove to the South 40(ish) yard line, but failed to convert on a fourth down.

South then moved quickly to the NB one yard line, and kicked the game-winner with 4 seconds left. South kicker Cooper Cantrell - who has signed a soccer scholarship with UK and who had had a rare missed FG from point-blank range in the first quarter - got his redemption there at the end.

Super-exciting game - kudos to both teams on a great seasons and on an amazing game.

Thanks for the 4th quarter synopsis @ColonelMike! I was wondering how this one played out and have not had a chance to look at the update thread from last week.
