I'm almost positive the higher seed gets to host Round 3.

 

The 'even-region/odd-region' contingency I believe comes into play only when both teams are the same seed.

 

That's been my belief as well. Oddly though, as you well know coach, in the semis it doesn't matter the seed. Even year, odd year system prevails (no issues with it).

Central Hardin is the 1 seed from district 2, Trinity the 1 seed from district 4, who hosts region since there is no even/odd issue and both are 1 seeds?
