Been singing their praises all year. They are legit. Until you've seen them; it's hard to grasp.

A little disappointed in McCracken not to hat they lost but by 24 I am.

I'm disappointed as well. I really feel for the kids. The coaching has truly killed them all year.

I picked this as an upset because of PRP's seeding, but felt they would win, just not that big! Wow

Perhaps MC's coach should spend more time watching film and less time polishing his resume. Few teams do less with more talent than McCracken County.

I couldn't agree more. I bet he leaves in the off season.

I went to this game tonight because I thought it would be a better game than my boys back in Mayfield. PRP was very undersized at about every position but boy they were fundamentally good and very quick. They were in the backfield every time Jones for MC tried to pass.

 

I still can't get over how small IMO PRP was across the board. But they sure can play some football.

Must not have been watching the same game. PRP's o-line was huge and they had three different nose tackles that each looked over 300 lbs. Line play was the difference in the game.

 

6A football has become so stratified. You have a McCracken that has running clock game victories in virtually every district game year to year but can't compete with the bottom of the Louisville districts. Same problem for teams like PRP in that it could win a Western district but instead has to travel across the state to play a team that it's better than in the playoffs. Not a lot of fun for anybody.

I think this is a mental thing for kids at McCracken. I've seen both teams on film and PRP didn't looked 24 points better but they dominated this game start to finish. Moving forward the Mustangs also need to work on ball security, always seems to be an issue, especially against good opponents.

McCracken is still a relatively new program and in my opinion, lack the confidence to win big games against teams of similar size and talent because they've not done it yet. Until they actually get that one big signature win, they'll continue to struggle. Once they get one, and they eventually will, I think you'll see a lot more on an annual basis. PRP may not have the name recognition of a Trinity or Male, but, they're still a very solid team that's been a Top 10 6a team all year..
