Should be a good game Friday night... S.Laurel always plays tough at home and the Warriors thumped them pretty good last year at SW so I think the game will be a little closer this year but SW should pick up the win....

South started its season off in a bad way. Their play wasnt what kept them from being the team they thought they would be, it was the turnovers. You take those away i say South is at least 2-1. With a win last week over a good Corbin team that was only beat by Rockcastle 2-0 on a very questionable call, I think South has what it takes to edge by Southwestern with it being at home. My prediction:

I would LOVE for the Cardinals to win this game. However, while my heart tells me to pick South Laurel, my head says that Southwestern wins this one. I think it should be close, but the Warriors are pretty solid again this season. The Cardinals have to find a way to give Bowling better protection. While he is becoming more adept at avoiding the rush, SWP spent too much time in the SL backfield last season and SL is breaking in a young O line.

I agree, this will be a tough game for the cards.....as far as the linemen they have 4 seniors and 1 junior playing so I would say that the experience is there. I have noticed that young Rick is holding the ball way to long and needs to make some quicker decisions. You can expect 4 to 5 seconds before the pocket closes in on him, he also needs to understand to stay in the pocket

before he scrambles. Hopefully he will learn and get better as the year progresses.

My prediction is south loses a close one.

This won't be as close as most people are predicting. I know that South beat Corbin last week but they allowed 20 points to a struggling 2A offense. I know that SW wants to throw the ball this year but it almost got them beat the last 2 weeks, if they line up and run the ball they win this one somewhere along the lines of 35-14. If they continue to try and convince everyone they're a passing team they win 20-14.

Don't think SL can stop SW, either running or passing.

Going to be another good one, these two match up in district play next few years. Someone needs to set the tone tonight!! Warrior's hand it out again tonight................LTW.
