And therein lies your explanation. Whether it be impatient new administration or impatient heads above that, there seems to be a pattern emerging. Shame. Someone above hit the nail on the head about the complexity of coaching at the high school level concerning cyclical talent. Leadership that doesn't understand that complexity is poor leadership at best. Now, if there is more to the story then I stand corrected, but that doesn't appear to be the case here.

Oldham County has narrowed down to 5. Had a meeting with the returning "Leaders" on the football team, Friday. Interviews are this week. They expect to announce by Friday. Hope they get a good one.

Those 4 teams combined on the year only averaged 16.5 points a game and had a combined record of 12-32. 3 of those teams combined for only 4 wins on the season. You can dress it up all you want...

So, this begs the question...who isnt in the mix that should be?

For arguments sake, if J'town and Nelson County are going to be discredited as I think we'd all agree Oldham is better than them; wouldn't it be wise to discredit the likes of CAL (state champions), South Oldham (5A Semis), Ballard (6A Top 10), etc who I think we'd all agree are on a much different level than Oldham right now as well?

Little can be taken from a box score. Who knows if the defense allowed the points, how many points the defensive generated itself, what were the game scripts, etc, etc. It seems Jo-Jo has some insight here (and a penchant for positive spin) - what's your analysis coach? Is he the man for the job?

Throwing in those four + Nelson and you get 14 pts/game. Add in Ballard & North Bullitt (7 games) & that's 20 ppg.

 

Again, I don't know who deserves it. I mean, I have no clue...couldn't be further from the "goings on" in Buckner/LaGrange, but I think it's only fair to look at the total picture if we are going to start picking and choosing games. South Oldham was dropping points on everybody (including 55 on Pulaski in the semis), CAL is in the same boat (most notably 44 vs Central, 48 on Mayfield) & Shelby has been an offensive freak show in their own right the last two years with a 23-4 record to boot.
