November 3, 20169 yr Certainly can't hurt. How much it'll help remains to be seen. You'd hope that most of the terminology is the same, and that if he's able to make any impact, it'll be sooner than later.

Agree it can't hurt but it just tells me the Bengals see the same things we see with the DL. I expect our defense to have 3 or 4 new starters next year.

November 3, 20169 yr It seems to me, when they had the good presence up front a few years ago, they had 7 or 8 guys they were constantly rotating in and out. Now, I'm not saying you'd rather not have Gino or Dunlap in there every play...but, I'm just wondering if those guys aren't as fresh come the end of the game as they were when they were sharing a lof snaps earlier. That's where the mistake is with Peko. I think he could still be valuable, but more as a relief guy. He should be around 35-40% of snaps, not 55-60%.
November 3, 20169 yr Losing Billings really hurt our d-line, they were counting on him for some major snaps.
November 3, 20169 yr This is a -bleh- move. No one player is going to help the 28th ranked defense. We just have to get better play out of quality players or once were. This is just a very average team that will be playing quite a few very average teams. I expect they will win half of them remaining which is average.

He is good for 12 to 15 snaps a game as a rotational backup. This is where loyalty and honoring a contract hurt the team.

I think Marvin Lewis took some tips from the old Dusty Baker philosophy of running veteran players into the ground long after they have quit producing.
