Losing Jackson may have been a huge loss for the year.

In your opinion, why is the defense worse?

I think our DB's have been horrible.

A mixture of things. They are not stopping the run, which also opens up the pass game. The d line is not getting as much of a rush as the past, and the secondary. It's basically everywhere.

Even back when the Bengals had Hall and Joseph who everyone loved at corners. The Bengals didn't blitz much. The rushed 4 and dropped 7 back. Which is why the Bengals pass defense usually does rank well, just like last year.

There are 2 ways to help a pass defense. Either blitz a lot, or have a good front 4 and drop 7. The Bengals pass defense the last 7 years have been good rushing 4 and dropping 7. Just like last year the Steelers struggle with it.

The Bengals just suck more when they blitz imo lol. Their blitzes rarely get to the qb, which then leaves wide open areas. If the they are going to blitz more, they need guys are are better at blitzing.

Bengalmaniac brought a lot of his buddies with him. Seems to be more Bengal fans than Washington fans.

Dumb call and huge stop.

Our DB's not in the picture.

Our DB'S have struggled. In fairness though just ask all teams who blitz. When their blitz gets picked up, usually their secondary gets picked apart because to much space to cover for to long. The Cardinals have a great secondary and lead the league in blitzing, but when teams pick up their blitz, on those plays their secondary gets beat too.

The Bengals have to be more productive with their blitz if they are going to blitz.

Now that was an effective blitz by the Redskins. They blitzed and they made Dalton move. We blitz other teams qbs still stand right in the pocket the majority of time.

Come on offense, just had a great 4th down stop and now you go three and out! Ugh!

FC! How about coaching? You never mentIoned the Coach. What you think?

Never blitzed, no pressure and get burnt yet again.

I agree, Blitzing is not always the answer, but our secondary is just terrible. Adam Jones was decent but now he is horrible.

I thought he stepped out before catching the ball but the angle wasn't great.

Agreed. They are not built to blitz, and don't get pressure when they do blitz. However this year their front 4 also is not getting pressure. Not a good situation at all.

Is there no sideline camera?

Coaching too. Obviously the blitz schemes are bad too, because they never do get much pressure and gets picked up to easily.
