October 30, 20169 yr Well that was a bad start. The Bengals defense blitzed a lot more than they have all year on that drive, and didn't help. They have never been a good blitzing team and besides that Cousins is good at getting rid of the ball quick and hitting the short throws. I expect the Bengals to go back to mainly a four man rush next series.

I expect the Bengals to go back to mainly a four man rush next series. Cousins did throw one away on the blitz. Our DB's are terrible whether we rush or try to play the four man defense. Need to tighten up.

Hey I admit the defense has been bad this year. Last year they were a top 2 scoring defense and held qbs to the 5th lowest passing ratings in the nfl by doing what they have done the last 6 years. This year the whole defense has been bad. So now I am all for whatever it takes to get the defense playing better even if that means blitzing more. The Bengals have just never been a good blitzing team and usually get torched when they do. So if they blitz they need to maybe find more effective blitzes then.
