As far as illegals, there is a difference in a heart attack and a fever of 100 degrees with a runny nose going to the ER. I'm in total agreement with doing something about those that are abusing the system. I'm not in favor of pulling the rug from under the working poor who are not abusing the system. And most arguments I hear don't distinguish between the two, and label the poor as lazy freeloaders. And I don't care who you are, and whether you're illegal or not, regardless of ability to pay, medical care should be available for you. And it's not just illegals that use emergency rooms for non emergency purposes. And again, it's commonly the working poor who cannot afford, or otherwise don't have access to primary care.
