Congrats to the Lil Colonels as they played big today, and they will be a force in 4A. Josh and Kurt were no where near on the same page much less on the same field today. CovCath offense needs to start getting on track. Losing Buckely today for at least three weeks will hurt.... "D" looked strong again, but how long is the "O" going to make them work so hard. It just looked like CovCath was looking past Dixie..... BTW was very impressed with Dixie QB...Tough kid........

QB Joe Bricking for Dixie played a very solid. I think that Dixie came to play and that is why the game was closer than the score. Hats off to both teams. Good game

Great game for back-up tailback Brandon Brown. Brandon who plays DB and returns punts and kicks came in to sub for the hurt Brent Buckley. Brandon scored three touchdowns in the second half all after a very difficult day for him and his family. Brandon's grandfather Paul Hemmer Sr. passed away after an extended illness last night and Brandon was very close to him and he could be seen at many of the Cov. Cath Basketball or Football games before he became ill last year.

D - line , low man wins , don't give up one inch to anyone ! O- line , fire off the the line and make them pay big time . Finish all your blocks on every play ! Fine. The LB that's playing great ball that no one is mentioning is Wil Geisen.

Kudos to my boy Brandon Brown. (Have I mentioned he's the best on the ball defender in NKY in b-ball?) He makes great cuts as we saw today.

 

The passing game was as out of whack as I've ever seen it. Bad day. Those happen.

 

Bricking looked solid . He threw a beautiful pass down the CCH sideline.

 

The difference on Saturday for Dixie is they didn't get blown out early, got a little bit of confidence going, and played OK vs giving up as they did against HHS.

 

Not a great showing by either team but at least Dixie can use it as a positive heading into 4A play.
