Well not tonight he wasn't. That 2 pt conversion was the worst call or non call, whatever you want to call it, that I've ever seen at any level. The entire crew blew that one. The punt was just icing on the cake for a bad night for the entire crew.

Why was the personal foul at the half not resulting in an untimed down? I was under the impression that the half or game does not end on a defensive penalty.

 

The penalty was assessed at the start of the 3rd qtr. it is the coaches choice if the penalty occurs at the end of a half or the start of the 3rd.

Dead ball foul, coach doesn't have a choice, that is why it was marked off to start the half. If the foul would have occurred during the play, it would have been an untimed down because the half can not end on a penalty.
