If he doesn't, that will suck, but he'll be the leader coming out next year. I've always felt like the best player won the award. Maybe if I looked back on previous years I would say that wasn't the case, but nothing jumps out to me.

Derrick Henry was not the best player in college football last year. He was the best player on the best team. Christian McCaffrey was the best player in football. I mean this in all sincerity, I want Lamar to win the Heisman, I just don't think it is set in stone.

Sorry, McCaffrey had single digit TD's rushing as a RB. To say he was the best player in football is beyond ridiculous. Henry had 20 more rushing TD's and more yards. Henry may not have been the best player but he was better than McCaffrey.

Maybe if you add in his receiving yards but rushing he has 200 less than Henry. Also if you do include his receiving stats he only adds 5 more TD's. So Henry had 28 rushing TD's and McCaffrey had 13 rush/rec plus 2 more on returns.
