October 19, 20169 yr Author Maybe if you add in his receiving yards but rushing he has 200 less than Henry. Also if you do include his receiving stats he only adds 5 more TD's. So Henry had 28 rushing TD's and McCaffrey had 13 rush/rec plus 2 more on returns. 3 on returns and 2 passing. Just to make this clear.

October 19, 20169 yr Author What does it matter if he had 10,000 yards if he isn't getting in the end zone? He broke a record set by Barry Sanders man. He also wasn't shabby with TD's with 17. Dude balled out last year. If he wasn't on the West Coast he would have won. There is definitely an East Coast bias. Derrick Henry had a great season, but was he not only not the best player in the country, he was the 4th best running back in the country behind McCaffrey, Zeke, and Fournette. The last 2 fell after 1 bad game (which also alludes to my point earlier about it doesn't matter as much what you do early in the season, if you have one bad game late in the season or one good game late in the season your chances are greatly diminished/ increased)

The way I read the stats I saw were weird. The passing TD's were between the punt and kick return TD's. My bad, but he still had 17 TD's and broke a record set by IMO the greatest or second greatest running back of all time.

Its only natural for there to be a west coast bias because the majority of the voters live on the east coast and simply weren't awake to watch all of Christian McCaffrey's games. The other players from the West Coast that have won i.e. Mariota had several games where people on the East Coast would be able to watch him because they knew he was a front runner coming into the season. Comparing McCaffrey to Peppers is a joke. Exactly what records is Peppers breaking? My argument against Peppers, is I don't think his numbers are impressive at all. 31st in KR Average 23rd PR Average 0 Interceptions 36th in TFL 5.8 Total Tackles/ game doesn't even put him in the top 144 players in the country. 2 Rushing TD's both against Rutgers. What strikes you his numbers that say he is the best player in college football? He plays both ways? Give me a break. You think Harbaugh would risk using him both ways if he had a playmaker on offense? I'm not saying he isn't talented or insanely athletic or anything of the sort, but he is going to have to do more to earn heisman praise from me.

They all went to USC(one of the largest national brands in the country) except Mariota. I wasn't the one that brought up Peppers, so I'm not sure what you're trying to get at with "try again"

In the early 2000's when USC went through arguably the greatest period of dominance we've seen. Yeah. That's a disqualifier for west coast bias. I was telling you that my argument against Peppers is completely different than my argument for McCaffrey. Henry had a fantastic year, but McCaffrey was breaking records. But there is no point in carrying this on any further, was Henry deserving of the Heisman? Hell yes he was, but McCaffrey was the best player and the best player doesn't always win. You're never going to see it my way and I'm never going to see it your way.
