As we get toward the end of the regular season, who has been the biggest surprise in Class 3A? Why?

Casey County. They're the last remaining unbeaten in 3A after posting a losing record in 2015. They could very well take their first L this Friday vs Corbin, but to date, they're my biggest pleasant surprise.

Lawrence Co with the drop they have had from last yr at 12-1 to 2-6

I think Russell has been a surprise. I expected them to be good, but more like 7-3 good. They are legitimately a top 6-8 team, something I didn't expect.

Conley is a special player and has a good cast around him.

They were by far the 2nd best team in the region last year and could have put up a fight against Corbin in the Semi-fnals if Belfry wasn't there....but they had a large and talented Senior class and lost everything, including their best returning athlete and the coaching staff. They will improve but it will be tough to get to that level.

I agree 100%. Lawrence has dropped off a bit, but it was expected with all the talent they had graduate and the change in staff. They were actually 9-4 last season, so their drop isn't quite as far as has been stated.
