Feel bad for PRP, they are a good team just facing monster opponents. Next week is Central which is no easy game either.

Exactly. There are two teams in the state that either play or could play those monsters, and not end up with the same results as PRP.

I understand the theory of playing the best to get better but almost wonder if PRP goes too far to the point of harming morale. I know some of those tough opponents are district opponents so they are stuck with them, the none district opponents may be where they want to ease up.

HUGE win for Manual! Now they don't have to drive 4 hours each way for their 1st round game!

After being tied at halftime at 21, Manual caused a BIG turnover when PRP was marching at the Crimson 7 early 3rd Quarter. Then player of the game Andre Teague (22 carries for 112 and 5 TDs) converted on a 4th and 4 from the PRP 43 and Manual went in for the score and never trailed again. The Crimsons are a dangerous team and in a 1 game scenario could pull an upset!

@Bert, I don't think PRP is listening to you in the loosening their non-district schedule as they just signed BG for a 2 year series. BG won't be as good next year as this one, but won't be far behind either. I agree with you on the balance between competition and winning can be a fine line.

What do you think about PRP at McCracken County?

I really don't know enough about McCracken to give an educated prediction. Has PRP taken any long road trips? If not, that is obviously not in PRPs favor.

Bowling Green playing PRP and Male (scrimmage but still) interests me quite a bit. May have to go to PRP or Male to watch the Purples and maybe even ride down to Bowling Green to hit a game, visit the Corvette Museum and WKU and whatever else BGP members in the area recommend. I believe you said you live somewhere near Louisville now, if you go to either, let me know, we will meet up.

PRPs longest road trip is to Meade County, but they have consistently played good to very good to the best teams in the state. McCracken has played Mayfield, Pulaski Academy (about #100 in the nation) and will play BG on Halloween. So it is an intriguing game.

Most remember the meltdown McCracken had against Manual a few years ago, but McCracken was up comfortably early in that game but Manual just worn then down. McCracken has a chance in that game and I look for them to play well, but besides the 3 teams I mentioned, PRP will have athletes they typically don't see, but by playing BG last week of the season, it should prepare McCracken to play a good game.

Concerning the Male & PRP v BG, definitely will communicate on going to those game! Will be fun!

Manual is playing really good football right now...gonna be fun to watch come playoff time. PRP may have lost a little confidence, I thought they played well against Trinity and just haven't put it together since. I don't think I would sleep on them just yet, but a drive to McCracken is a HAUL!!

Well done Manual. I should've chosen the other game from that district as the upset.

I would be surprised if McCrackin County beat PRP given how tough PRP is hanging with their monster schedule. From what I hear they are replacing Trinity with BG next year, and given that many posters have said that BG is not expected to be as good next year as this year, that is probably a wise move.

A polite backhand to the face thanks! :ohbrother:

But I understand what you mean both literal and unspoken.

Ultimately, I think it is good for both PRP and BG, so I am good with it.

Notice that I didn't say that replacing Trinity with BG this year would have been a wise move. :thumb:

It really depends on how much BG loses as to whether it's a good idea or not, because Trinity is not senior heavy and will likely be at the same level next year.

No worries. It is difficult for any public school to be able to compete with T year in and year out. I have alot of respect for them and always pull for them against the out of state teams. I usually make 1 game a year as well, as I love their stadium and atmosphere at their games.

PRP is starting to rebuild a nice program and has nice athletes. I remember when they played T in the championship game several years ago. Their talented QB will be a SR next year and will be very challenging for BG. Should be fun!
