October 9, 201610 yr Because Washington is KILLING the Ducks right now....up 70-21 with over 8:00 to go in the 4th. Is Oregon this bad or is this what happens when the old Boise Coach get's an entire team of big time players?
October 9, 201610 yr Washington is for real, they can be placed in one of the spots for the playoff already.
October 9, 201610 yr That coach can flat out ball!!! I've been a fan of Peterson since well before he left Boise State and figured he would have more success if he went to a bigger conference.
October 9, 201610 yr Chris Petersen is in the top tier of coaches IMO. Not Saban or Meyer but he's as good as just about anyone else. Now that he has Power 5 talent? Woah, look out. If they get in the playoff look for them to be a nightmare in the first game. Petersen with extra time is always scary.
October 9, 201610 yr All the Oregon hype was worn off. By that I mean their uniform combinations have pretty much been used resulting in looking for anything new (hence the Webfoot uni's) and the kids aren't as sold anymore.

October 11, 201610 yr Author I watched a replay of this game and Oregon was in it for most of the first half. It was 28-7 with a minute to go in the half and Oregon probably should have been down only 21-14. But yes in year 3 Petersen has it rolling. Just a very solid team after watching this game, I'm impressed.
October 11, 201610 yr I think Oregon has a few more down years, but the Chip Kelly NFL experiment has a year or 2 left. Unless USC is open (which if USC is open again in 2 years thats a HUGE problem) I think he comes back to Oregon right away and it will be like he never left.
October 12, 201610 yr I don't think anyone will call the dogs off against Oregon for a while. They ran some pretty big scores up on people for quite a few years, now I think they will get some payback.
