Christian Academy of Louisville 12 DeSales 7

I dont always make correct predictions, but I nailed this one as a low scoring Defensive war.

What I watched both teams really looked nice to me. Two high level Defenses but CAL just opened too much of a gap and DeSales didn't have playmakers tonight to make it up.

Side note, Milton Wright is a beast. I am calling my shot right now.. Wright will be a Mr. Football finalist as a Senior.

Love what CAL does but they have to get over the playoff hump with DeSales. The last few years they win the first one and DeSales wins the one that counts. Keep moving forward CAL, nice one tonight just don't be satisfied.

Great job CAL!!!!!

And now they're set up for a playoff flame out.

What a game it was. I was hoping it was close and it didn't disappoint. DeSales has a very nice facility and loved all of the leg room. Everyone seemed nice as well. Thank God that I left one of my car doors unlocked. I thought that I lost them but they ended up being in my car. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way.

Game of turnovers. I believe we had 2, they had none. It was a defensive battle that's for sure. Hopefully we can watch the film, make our adjustments, and do what we do in November against them. Again big credit to both defenses, they both played hard, and made it tough for the offenses to get anything going.

It was a solid game. I was very impressed with CAL's defense, especially their front 7. I thought DeSales made some great adjustments in the 2nd half. They just weren't able to finish drives offensively. I was very disappointed to see CAL come stomp on the logo the first time they played in the new stadium. However, it is a rivalry. Looking forward to the rematch in the playoffs. Go Colts

Though I am disappointed in the outcome, I feel very good moving forward. Have to believe that Aaron Pfaddt has cemented himself as the starting QB and aside from a few mistakes this game has a different outcome. See you guys in November

The Colts, as they always seem to do in the regular season against CAL, didn't play their best hand on offense. They have some offensive weapons that were VERY under-utilized or not used at all. I really don't think they would have even played Pfaadt if they hadn't fallen behind 9-0 early. That practice has worked the last four seasons when we have met in November. I have trust in this coaching staff. Hopefully we can make it five in a row.

Kudos to CAL, they won with strong defense, it was not their front 7 but their front 11.....they kept our receivers cover up. Melvin Wright goes both ways very well and can be one of the best player in all 2A. Hope the Colts plan ahead for a rematch !

Honestly, the past two years I have walked out of the CAL game wondering to myself, "How in the WORLD are we going to beat these guys in November?" In both of those regular season games, we were handled pretty easily. I don't feel that way this time. As I mentioned earlier, whether on purpose or not, we have weapons that were used very little if at all Friday night. CAL definitely has more star power individually, but I feel confident in our guys and our coaches. We still have five games to get our youngsters some more seasoning before a potential rematch, and it should be a good one if we get to that point!
