Louisiana Tech 55 Western Kentucky 53

Tops lose a shootout 55-53, White throws for 340 yards and 5 td's but fumbles on the last drive. Tops missed a good chance to get a leg up in the conference race but the D failed them. NICK, where was your defense last night? Team that scores 52 should win the ballgame, period.

I thought for a moment that was John L. Smith out there coaching the Toppers instead of Jeff Brohm.

Whew. That was like a classic C-USA game right there.

This is a terrible loss for WKU. Terrible.

Defensive backfield was burned all night and no pressure on the QB until late in the game. Ever heard of a blitz coach?

WKU was down 49-24 and made a heck of a comeback. I thought they were going to win, the way they had momentum. The fumble easily could've been avoided IMO if White had just exercised a little care with the ball. Very tough loss.

That comeback proves that they should have never been that far behind. Terrible loss.

Kickoff no touch was terrible ref call.

But not difference.
