Maybe not! That was what Fleming thought last year and then West Carter beat them.

Russell wins this one. Defense is unreal. Held a team to two first downs that hung 31 on Fleming.

Just looking at the score of the Fleming vs Greenup game is deceiving. Greenup didn't really light Fleming up. They got points off turnovers and special teams. Also, that same team held Russell to 7 points and Fleming scored 30 on them.

Fleming County's offense gets a lot of attention and rightfully so but their defense has played tough as well. Their starting defense has only given up 2 touchdowns all year, those being to Greenup (Greenup also had a field goal and an Int return and KO return). The Estill TD was on a fumble return and the Rowan TD was late in the game against several reserves.

Russell has improved since they played Greenup in week 1 and I'm sure Fleming has improved as well. We will see who has improved the most this coming Friday.
